     This home has been completely remodeled both inside and out and features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings on the main floor with large window walls both in the front and the back that bring in abundant amounts of natural light and provide awesome views of Fly Rod Lake. Laminate hardwood floors glisten throughout the living and dining rooms, and the large wood burning fireplace on the end wall of the living room creates an interior focal point. The dining room contains two built-in shelving units that flank an open space large enough to hold a significant size buffet unit. The kitchen, also with laminate hardwood floors, offers numerous cabinets, an island with a wine cooler and an extended counter top that can serve as a breakfast bar, a sizable informal dining area with a large window wall, and a large pantry. The main floor Master Bedroom sports both his and her bathrooms, each having its own closets, while sliding glass doors provide access from this room to an extension of the large private deck overlooking the lake.

     The lower level also provides a large open Family Room that offers endless opportunities for varying life styles and two bedrooms and a full bath. One side of the Family Room contains a fireplace wall with a wood burning stove that can serve as an auxiliary heat source during the winter, while the opposite wall can hold the largest of home entertainment centers. A wet bar and counter top allows for easy entertaining on this floor. Two additional bedrooms are on this level, serviced by a full bathroom. 

     The lake side window wall provides access to a large sunroom with full height EZE Breeze windows that were installed in late 2008. The window's lightweight, vinyl-glazed panels can be raised or lowered effortlessly to open up 75% of the screened window to the breeze, and can be easily removed for storage or cleaning. Closed they provide protection from the rain and wind and cold during the winter months.

     Also in late 2008, the entire deck was resurfaced with a Duradek waterproof vinyl pedestrian traffic membrane providing the ultimate in maintenance-free outdoor flooring. At the same time, three Anderson Patio Doors were installed for easy access to the deck.

     In 2009, the outside of the home was clad with Certainteed Cedar Shake Vinyl Siding. This high end product is the most realistic of the polymer shakes, and contains several techniques for improved  structural stability that gives a seamless appearance while protecting against warping, cupping and distortion. Five inch gutters were also installed at that time, as well a moisture barrier wrap under the siding and vinyl covered eaves. An 8'x12' gardener's shed was built on the side of the house, using the same Certainteed cedar shakes, and a new architectural roof for the entire home installed, including a solar tube for His Master Bath. Her Master Bath was remodeled in 2010.  

     Also in late 2010, a new septic system system was installed, including a new drain field, tank, pump tank and alarm. The front yard irrigation was replaced, and new pine straw installed.

     Both the front and back yard contain extensive stamped concrete sidewalks and patios that were installed in 2007, providing beautiful spaces around which lush plantings of a wide variety bloom. A vinyl chain link fence was installed in 2009 for the back and side yard, as well as new lighting on the corners of the home, adding to the privacy and security of the home. 

     Two HVAC units, one serving the main floor and the other serving the lower level, were replaced in 2006. The hot water heater was replaced in 2008.

     22 Sunset Drive is located on Fly Rod Lake in a smaller, quiet area of Whispering Pines and has its own private dock. Residents and their guests may also use the boating, swimming and picnic areas associated with all of the eight lakes located within the Village of Whispering Pines. Twenty-four hour Police, Fire and EMS protection is provided throughout the community.

     Whispering Pines resides within the coveted Sandhills Farm Life School District, and is just two miles from the renowned Sandhills Community College with its extensive academic and continuing education and guest speaker programs. The 385-bed Moore Regional Hospital, known for its outstanding medical and support facilities, is located within seven miles of the Village of Whispering Pines. A new shopping center has been built on the outskirts of the Village, providing grocery and ancillary services within two miles of the center of the Village, while another is under construction with occupancy slated for the end of 2011.
